Richard Austen-Smith

Richard started up Giant Men Management www.giantmenmanagement.com with Hiroki Shirasuka in 2008, now managing Crystal Fighters, Mount Kimbie, Anna Calvi, Panico and producer Andrew McDonnell.
He also works at Absolute Marketing & Distribution as Label and Online manager, having been heavily involved in a wide range of releases- from Top10 artists such as McFly, Jay Sean, Chicane, Beverley Knight through to more ‘indie’ acts such as Emmy the Great, Sparks, Lisa Hannigan and others.
Prior to joining Absolute in 2007, he worked at various independents including Defected and spent time working at Saatchi & Saatchi. He has also run the Throwback events with friends, showcasing artist collaborations including the likes of Cluster, James Holden, Chrome Hoof, Sal P (Liquid Liquid), Panico and Joakim.
