UnLimited Media
Chris is a journalist, editor, publisher and communicator. He is also Managing Director of UnLimited Media, a content, communication and consulting company he founded in 1996. Fourteen years on, UnLimited Media owns four media platforms, and operates creative services, training and consulting divisions, providing content, communication and business services to entertainment, media and consumer brands, and corporate clients.
CMU, UnLimited's music media platform, is the biggest news-provider for the UK music business, and uniquely connects the mainstream industry with the grass-roots music community. Its free daily e-bulletin, the CMU Daily, is read by over 18,000 music people every day, and covers all the key developments in music in the previous 24 hours, with industry, media, digital and artist news, gossip, comment and analysis. CMU also provides a wide range of music-based news, information and entertainment via theCMUwebsite.com, and runs regular in-depth training seminars for music business people.
Chris co-founded CMU in 1998, and created the CMU Daily in 2002. He continues to write for the Daily as Business Editor, covering all the key developments in the music industry and media. He is now a leading expert on these industries, and regularly comments on them for other media, in particular the BBC, including the Today programme, Wake Up To Money and the News Channel.
Chris recently completed a part time Law degree at London Metropolitan University, specialising in media and intellectual property law, and penning an in-depth paper on authorising infringement, and the protection of music rights online. With his degree complete, he's now considering finishing that novel he started five years ago.
